Terms and conditions of membership in Tax Free & Me

1. What is Tax Free & Me?

Tax Free & Me is our benefit program for you as a customer of Tax Free Norway AS, Heinemann SE & Co. KG or our partners. As a member, you will be offered a welcome discount, promotional prices with discounts, special service offers, participation in draws or similar benefits, and / or the program's loyalty points which we call «Collect Me». Tax Free & Me is the Norwegian name for Gebr. Heinemann's international loyalty program called Heinemann & Me. We explain you more about this under point 4.

2. Who does what in Tax Free & Me?

Tax Free & Me is owned by Gebr. Heinemann. Gebr. Heinemann is responsible for the processing of your personal data that is collected and processed as part of the Tax Free & Me program, while TRN is the data processor. This means that TRN processes your personal data on behalf of Gebr. Heinemann.

3. Terms and use of Tax Free & Me


When you sign up for Tax Free & Me, you accept communication by e-mail or via other electronic communication methods. This is because communication with members is the very purpose of Tax Free & Me.

If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter or communication, you can unsubscribe at any time by:

- Edit consent to dialogue in My Page on tax-free.no

- Click on the "Unsubscribe newsletter"

- link in the footer of all our newsletters

- Send an e-mail to kundeservice@tax-free.no Even if you choose not to receive marketing, we will still be able to send you information relevant to the membership (such as changes to membership terms) as long as you are a member.

Once you have registered for membership in Tax Free & Me, you will receive an email with your membership number and a link so that you can identify yourself electronically (a code for a wallet solution on your mobile phone).

When you want to use a discount, gift, promotion or anything else that follows from your Tax Free & Me membership, you do so by identifying yourself at the checkout with a registered mobile number, wallet for scanning or membership number. If you have attached a payment card to your membership, we will automatically give you points on your purchases when you use this card when paying.

4. Tax Free & Me member's benefits


4.1 Welcome Benefit in Tax Free & Me

Once you have registered in the Tax Free & Me program, you will receive a welcome discount. You can use this for your first purchase as a member, or you can save it up to 1 year after registration. The discount can be used in all our stores. See an overview of our stores here: Our stores.

The welcome discount is decided by TRN according to the rates and offers in force at any given time. The welcome discount applies to products at regular price and will not be applicable to products that have already reduced price or are discounted in connection with other promotions and offers. The Tax Free & Me program can not be used when buying alcohol and tobacco products. Note that your welcome discount may be limited to selected airports and countries. You will always be able to find updated information about the size of the discount and current restrictions on the loyalty program websites.



4.2 Birthday gift as a member

As a Tax Free & Me member, we would like to give you a birthday gift in the form of a coupon or a gift. You will only receive e-mail with information about the gift if you still accept our communication by e-mail.

Once you have received the birthday gift by e-mail, you can use it in all our stores. You must ask the cashier to activate the birthday gift after you have identified your Tax Free & Me membership. Each birthday gift is valid for up to 12 months.

The terms for birthday gifts, including the type of gift, value and restrictions, can be changed by Gebr. Heinemann or TRN. You will be informed of new terms via e-mail and / or at tax-free.no.

4.3 Common terms for all membership offers and benefits

When you shop with us as a Tax Free & Me member, you will be able to receive offers for discounts, time- or place-limited promotions, special service offers, participation in draws or other offers and benefits. This requires active consent to newsletters. The offers can come as a direct discount on the current purchase, or as a discount on the next purchase in a relevant store.

For each offer, or each benefit, there may be special terms and conditions. Examples of such conditions may be a requirement that you buy over a certain amount, that the discount must be used for a given period of time, or that certain offers are only available in selected stores. Please note that your discounts and offers are personal and therefore can not be transferred to others.

5. Collect Me

Collect Me is the name of the registered loyalty points earned on purchases in the Tax Free & Me program. Every purchase is rewarded. NOK 10 value is equivalent to 1 Collect Me loyalty point. You earn points related to a value threshold, when you have collected a given amount of points, you will receive a bonus that can be used as a partial payment on your purchases. Collecting points does not apply to alcohol and tobacco products, return-deposit, Apple products, printed matter, books and shopping bags.

Gebr. Heinemann decides which thresholds give one point and how many points you must have to get a bonus. If you have earned enough points to get a bonus, Gebr. Heinemann send you this at the beginning of each calendar year.

Please note that your bonuses may expire if they are not used within a given time.

By logging in to My Page on tax-free.no, you can view your point total at any time.

6. Your personal information

To manage your membership in Tax Free & Me, TRN is dependent on the collection and processing of some of your personal information. TRN collects this personal information on behalf of Gebr. Heinemann. You will find an explanation of what personal information we collect and how it is processed on our privacy statement pages.

By signing up for Tax Free & Me, you consent to collection and processing of your personal information. You can be confident that all personal data is processed in accordance with the Personal Data Act and our privacy statement.

7. Administration of your personal information and consent

You can at any time get an overview of what personal information we have registered about you when you log in to My Page. You can also send us an e-mail.

You can also find an overview of which consents you have given us and you can manage these yourself via My Page. In addition, you can change most of your personal information with the exception of your birthday. If you have entered the wrong birthday, please contact kundeservice@tax-free.no. Customer service can also help to change or delete stored information that you can not do yourself on My Page.

If we have stored errors or incorrect data about you, despite our routines to ensure that the data is accurate, complete and up to date, we will immediately correct such errors upon request. See our privacy statement.

Note that some information is required for you to be a member of Tax Free & Me and for the membership to work as intended. This applies to registration of necessary information to have a profile, as well as purchase history as a basis for offers and points.

8. Your membership is personal

Your membership in Tax Free & Me is personal, and you may not transfer it to others or allow others to use it. It is your responsibility to ensure that others do not have access to your login details. We recommend that you type a password after logging in. Do not share your password or login details with others. If you suspect unauthorized use of your membership, please contact our customer service.

9. Security and with whom can we share your information?

Your trust is important to us and we have security measures that ensure that your personal information is protected against unauthorized access and use. For security reasons, requests for information about members will only be answered if received in writing.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Your personal information is stored within the EU / EEA.

10. Termination of membership in Tax Free & Me

You can easily terminate your membership in Tax Free & Me via My Page.

When you choose to terminate your membership, we will delete all information we have collected related to you. Your earned points, bonuses, other offers and benefits lapse.

11. Force Majeure

We want you to be a member of Tax Free & Me, but in the event of a breach of our terms, or misuse of our services, we may be forced to terminate your membership. Gebr. Heinemann and TRN have the right to do so if you breach the terms of the membership, or otherwise misuse our services. Termination can take place immediately where the seriousness of the relationship so requires, but usually we will give you a deadline. Gebr. Heinemann and TRN can also terminate your membership at the end of the year if notice of this is sent with a 3-month deadline.

12. Changes of general terms

The applicable terms and conditions for your membership in Tax Free & Me will be available on our website www.tax-free.no.

Gebr. Heinemann or TRN reserves the right to change or supplement to the Tax Free & Me program and the terms of the agreement. This may be due to a desire to improve service, prevent abuse or to be in line with current legislation. This can ultimately involve the termination of the program. All changes will be notified to you as a member via electronic communication in good time before the changes take effect. Notification of changes will also include guidance on members' rights to protest changes and consequences by not accepting changes. Should a change be of such a nature that you no longer wish to be a member, you may terminate with immediate effect as described in clause 10.

If you do not submit any objections to the notified changes within 6 weeks from the date you receive the notice or use your membership after this time period, changes in the terms of membership will be deemed to have been accepted.

In the event of changes in terms that require active consent, and if you do not wish to give renewed consent, we reserve the right to terminate your membership with 3 months' notice.

13. Choice of law and dispute resolution

As previously mentioned in point 2, Tax Free & Me is owned by Gebr. Heinemann, and these are responsible for the processing of your personal data. The general terms and conditions for membership, and all rights and obligations between TRN / Gebr. Heinemann and members of the Tax Free & Me program are therefore subject to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Legal provisions that apply to mandatory consumer protection in Norway remain unaffected.

You are always welcome to contact us if there is something you are wondering about, or disagree with, and we will try to resolve any issues with amicable solutions. Should we not be able to agree, it is the court you have as a venue that will decide the case, unless you approve that the Oslo District Court is the court we are to ask to resolve the case.
