Dessertwine
Dessert wine is not a formally defined category. From our prespective, dessert wine means wine with a lot of sweetness. This means that dessert wine can include everything from sparkling wine such as Asti, weaker wines such as Tokaji Aszú and Sauternes to strong wine such as port wine. The sweetness of these wines makes them pair fantastically with desserts (read more about food and wine here). They can also work well with other sweet dishes, and hold their own giving great compliment to strong and matured cheeses, especially blue cheese (read more about the combination of cheese and wine here). How much sweetness there should be in the dessert wine you choose depends, among other things, on the sweetness of what you eat. For example, there is a big difference in the sweetness of a bowl of fruit and berries, a Panna Cotta and chocolate. Many countries and territories make dessert wine. The most famous are perhaps Tokaji Aszú from Hungary, Sauternes from France, Eiswein from Germany and Recioto and Vin Santo from Italy";
