Rosé wine is made, like red wine, from blue grapes. The fresh colour however, comes from the process whereby the grape skin is fermented with the grape juice for a limited period of time. It is the duration on how long the grape skin is allowed to ferment with the juice before it is filtered that determines how strong the pink color of the wine will become.
